My Story
I was reintroduced to yoga when I was living in Toronto, Canada in 2016. I had experienced yoga before but not like this. What made it so memorable was the feeling of community. It didn’t matter that I couldn’t do more than half of the postures in my first Ashtanga yoga class, what stood out was my teacher’s encouraging attitude, my friendly fellow practitioners, and that most people stayed after class to chat and get to know each other. It’s a sense of connection which I felt strongly that inspired me to practice regularly. After two years of learning, I knew I wanted to know more about yoga beyond the mat, and I was fortunate enough to travel to Goa, India, in 2018 for my 200hr yoga teacher training. The most valuable lesson that I learned there was yoga is everywhere and is available for everyone. Yoga is not only about achieving certain poses, but it is closely integrated with everyday life. Shortly after I returned to Taiwan, I had a great opportunity to teach in Bagan, Myanmar, for 7 weeks. It was such an incredible and invaluable experience to teach at the first yoga shala in town, and connect with both local ladies and travellers around the world. My personal practice has been changing over the years, and that currently includes Meditation, Pranayama, Restorative, Vinyasa Flow, and Ashtanga Primary Series. I am now based in Taipei and offer up to 10 classes a week at 4 different studios. I hope to continue to share the knowledge of yoga and creativity around the world, and to promote mindful living to my students.
My Approach
My teaching style is encouraging, engaging and freeing. It’s important to experience yoga, to feel the breath, your emotions, and thoughts in the present moment. My goal is to help my students get to know themselves better from the outside in, and have an understanding that yoga and therapy are the tools they can bring into their lives to create balance and find purpose.

Yoga for the Body
From Hatha Yoga we learn that our body is a temple and that our soul resides inside. Noticing and practicing different ways of breathing is the foundation before our physical (asana) practice. By taking into consideration an individual’s mobility levels and limitations, I offer various modifications through the integration of props in order to find proper posture. This allows to suit different needs and most importantly avoid injuries.

Meditation for the Mind
Breath is the bridge between our body and mind, and before starting a meditation practice we will make sure that our body is relaxed through a gentle warm up. Once our breath is smooth from simple breathing exercises, we can then go into meditation according to the chosen theme or method of the day. Examples include mindfulness, sound, guided, affirmation, and more. From stillness we can enhance awareness, build patience, gain new perspective, helping with focus.

Therapy for the Soul
In my aromatherapy classes, we will explore through the sense of smell, and learn about plant and floral essential oils along with their healing qualities and benefits. After quieting the mind, we will draw aroma cards that reflect on our feelings in the present moment, and the plants/florals will be a reminder for how to take care of our emotional wellbeing.
Mandala art therapy is a class where we are allowed to find our inner child again, exploring through colours, shapes, repetition, and mixed materials which can help us be more creative, expressive, and more open to imagination and possibilities.
